Certification Process At Art1st we guarantee the highest possible standard of quality and origin of each single object sold through the services of this web-site.
Each of the announced pieces is unique, hand-made from birth to final cooking and each is original to Deruta, Italy. The quality, the artistry and the manufacture of each piece is guaranteed by a certificate signed by both Art1st's management and the manufacturer. This protects against any possibility of fraud. The owner of the piece will know that its property is unique in character and description.
Through Art1st you are able to buy one of two kinds of ceramics art:
a. A unique piece that will never be replicated. This will be marked 1 of 1 and will have the embossed signatures of the manufacturer, the signature or initials of the artist and will state the origin (Deruta, Italy) and the date of manufacture (year). Please note that when you buy tableware all the pieces in a set will be marked similarly.
b. A unique piece, part of a limited edition. This will be marked 1 of xx and will bear the embossed signature of the manufacturer, the signature or initials of the artist and will state the origin (Deruta, Italy) and the date of manufacture (year). Please note that, in a series, the year may be different from a piece to the next.
In addition, if the piece is original to Art1st alone, it will emboss the mark 1 of 1 or 1 of xx depending on whether the piece is unique or part of a collection, it will state the origin (Deruta), include the signature of the artist, the date of manufacture (year), the name of the studio that produced the piece and will carry Art1st's own mark.
The certificate you receive should look as for the one shown in the picture. Art1st will not guarantee the piece of ceramics if this certificate is missing or it will not bear art1st's signature.
